Cherry Blossoms on display (Photography exhibit in DC) April 7th – May 2nd

FotoDC: Exhibition Opening at Cherry Blossom Central

Thursday, April 5, 2012 – 6:00pm – 8:00pm

         The show will run from April 5th through May 2nd, 2012 at Cherry Blossom Central (Edison Place Gallery/8th & G NW). The Pepco Edison Place Art Gallery is located in Pepco’s Edison Place headquarters, at 701 Ninth Street, NW. The entrance to the Edison Place Gallery is on Eighth Street between G and H streets, directly behind the Pepco headquarters entrance.  This exciting show will present the work of all 2011 Winners and Selected Favorites from the current FotoDC National Cherry Blossom Photo Contest. There will be 104 images shown together with Allen Russ’s exhibition, City of Trees.

          The opening night is an RSVP event. The evite is available to view online.  Join FotoDC for an exciting two part evening on Thursday April 5th.

Start off the night at Edison Place Gallery to celebrate the work of Allen Russ and the selected works from this year’s FotoDC Cherry Blossom Photo Contest and the 2011 winners. This is a FREE event (RSVP required).

Continue the celebration till late with award winning photographers at a Benefit After-Party at the L2 Lounge ( Preview projections of 2012 selected FotoDC Cherry Blossom Contest entries and images by Allen Russ.  Complimentary bites and specialty cocktails at a reduced price will be offered with an additional full cash bar. This event costs $20 (or $25 at door).

       Remember, if you can not attend the opening, the show will be available throughout April (the show closes on May 2nd).  If you missed the blossoms in their glory, you still have a chance to see the wonderful show.  Another example of why “Nobody does Spring like Washington, DC”.  FotoDC showcases some of the best photos taken of the Cherry Blossoms.  The show is free and the experience is priceless.
